小牛剧院的历史

小牛剧院由艺术总监布莱恩·纽厄尔（Brian Newell）于2002年成立，原因是他需要经营自己的猫王音乐剧《国王》的场地。作为这项工作的一部分，纽维尔（Newell）在奥兰治（Orange）的街区（The Block）租了一个空间，该空间以前由火星音乐（Mars Music）为其表演而占用。在发现一个大M钉在空间地板上后，他决定命名剧院Maverick。

国王于2002年9月6日至2002年12月22日成功地上映。剧院还对Rocky Horror Show和Amadeus进行了制作。但是，奥兰治的大剧院给剧院带来了某些问题，因此于2004年6月被移到了另一个地方。
