Anthem, Arizona, is a family-oriented, master-planned community located on the northern edge of Phoenix. The west side of Anthem is located in Phoenix, while the east side is in Maricopa County. The community is comprised of 10-square miles of desert foothills, and it is located north of the Carefree highway. An amazing 36 percent of Anthem is devoted to open space and the community is well-known for its year-round, family-friendly activities. The master-planned community features a pool and community water park and the community center hosts an abundant schedule of youth-centered activities like baseball and martial arts. Anthem has a population of approximately 30,000 and has been deemed one of the best places to live in Arizona by 利基. The community has a rural feel and most residents are homeowners.

Anthem real estate and neighborhoods

Anthem is the largest development in North Phoenix. It features approximately 10,000 homes located in six distinct neighborhoods. Each of the neighborhoods has its own unique personality, and all residents have access to amenities no matter which neighborhood they call home. The six neighborhoods in Anthem include:

• Anthem Country Club — Golf lovers will enjoy 36 holes of championship golf in the beautiful high Sonoran desert foothills.
• Anthem Parkside: Arroyo Grande — This neighborhood is more secluded and is separated from the rest of the community by the New River wash. It?s located 15 minutes from Anthem proper and features large homes on sizable lots.
• Anthem Parkside: Circle Mountain — This neighborhood is the final phase of Anthem, and construction began in 2017.
• Anthem Parkside: The Landing — This small neighborhood offers plenty of solitude and is the only place besides Anthem Country Club where you?ll find single-family detached homes in a gated community.
• Anthem Parkside: Paseo — This neighborhood offers adorable patio homes and tree-lined streets.
• Anthem: The Village — For those wanting to live in the center of it all, The Village offers 210 beautiful condos within walking distance of many amenities. It also features an exclusive pool and fitness center for residents.

Anthem history

Anthem has a short history as it?s one of the newest communities in the Phoenix area. It was developed in 1999 by Del Webb in the foothills about 34 miles north of downtown Phoenix. Anthem was constructed at the base of Daisy Mountain and Gavilan Peak.

Anthem amenities

Within Anthem, residents have many amenities to enjoy. These include a water park, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a huge fitness center and gym with a rock-climbing wall, tennis courts, outdoor and indoor basketball courts, sports fields, a sand volleyball court, a skate park, a roller hockey rink, catch-and-release fishing ponds encircled by a small-gauge railroad, dozens of pocket parks with playgrounds, and several miles of natural and paved trails for hiking and biking.

Anthem is the place to shop in the area. It is home to the open-air Outlets at Anthem where you?ll find a wide range of brand-name stores, high-end designers, and jewelers. Some of the stores you can browse include Calvin Klein, Banana Republic Factory Store, Ann Taylor Factory Store, Gap Factory, The North Face Clearance Store, Michael Kors Outlet, and Tommy Hilfiger. While you?re there enjoy a bite to eat at Ruby?s Express, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Fresca?s Mexican Grill, Famous Wok, or Auntie Anne?s.

Anthem also hosts many fun events and festivals throughout the year. Anthem Days in the spring is a two-day festival with craft activities, Kids Zone, petting zoo, pony rides, and Rotary Beer Garden. Music in May is held every Friday in May at the Anthem Community Park Amphitheater and features local Arizona bands. 

Anthem schools

Anthem students are served by the 鹿谷联合学区. There are also several private and charter schools in the area. Nearby colleges and universities include Arizona State University at the West Campus, Glendale Community College和 Paradise Valley Community College.
