8th Annual OC Brew Ha Ha Craft Beer Festival Returns in September

Das 8th Annual OC Brew Ha Ha Craft Beer Festival will take place on Saturday, September 23rd. Participants enjoy unlimited tastings of more than 200 craft and import beers from over 90 top breweries.

Entertainment

In addition to providing samples from breweries, the festival also offers plenty of entertainment. This includes live music to provide a ?concert in the park? experience as well as an array of field games for attendees to enjoy. These include Giant Jenga, Cornhole, Gigantic Battleship and Life-Size Fooseball. Guest speakers will also be highlighted at the event. These include Anthony Chen and of San Diego-based AleSmith Brewing Co. and Jim Crooks of Barrel Works.

Lead Brewer and Brewing/Cellar Manager for AleSmith Brewing Co., Anthony Chen?s responsibilities include oversight of the company?s brewing and cellar team, optimization of recipe development, quality control processes, brewing processes and safety training. AleSmith Brewing Co. has been named the Top Brewery in the World by users at RateBeer.com numerous times.

Often referred to as ?Sour Jim,? Jim Crooks has been responsible for many exceptional sour beers found at Firestone Walker?s ?Barrel Works?. Crooks has a degree in Food Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and won a few Gold Medals while working as a Microbiologist at SLO Brewing Co.

Oak Canyon

Located in the canyon areas of Orange County, Oak Canyon regularly hosts a variety of festivals throughout the year. Spanning 100 acres of space, the property features camp sites, an RV park and a crystal blue lake against a mountain backdrop. When there isn?t a festival taking place, Oak Canyon offers a peaceful retreat from the city while still remaining conveniently near to city conveniences.

Purchasing Tickets

General Admission, which costs between $45 and $55 per ticket, is from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm and includes unlimited beers tastes along with a commemorative festival glass. VIP admission, which costs between $60 and $70, is from noon until 4:00 pm. It also includes unlimited tastings, a commemorative festival glass and access to all of the OC Brew Ha Ha has to offer. Those who want access to many limited, rare and one-offs from selected breweries can purchase the VIP + Rare Beer Section ticket for $85. This ticket also includes a stemmed festival glass and Rare Beer Section laminate credentials. Designated drivers can purchase tickets at the door for $25 and must accompany a paid participant.

The 8th Annual OC Brew Ha Ha Craft Beer Festival will take place from noon until 4:00 pm on September 23rd. The event will take place at Oak Canyon, which is located at 5305 Santiago Canyon Road in Silverado. The event takes place rain or shine and no outside alcohol, pets or backpacks are allowed. Participants must be 21 or older to be admitted and all participants must show a photo ID.
